I am a transport planner based in Leeds. I was born in Boston, Lincolnshire in 1958. My family moved to Maidstone in Kent when I was three years old. When I left school I moved on to Queen Mary College, University of London, where I obtained a First Class Honours degree in Applied Mathematics, followed by a PhD. After a few years working in the Defence industry, I returned to the academic world to manage European transport projects at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds. I now have my own company called Fox Traffic Simulation which provides traffic modelling services to national agencies, local authorities and consultancies in the UK. I have been married to Glain since 1986.
